1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using SeshReview ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

SeshReview is a personal wellness tool that allows users to:

• Record and transcribe therapy sessions using AI-powered speech recognition
• Generate AI-powered summaries, reflection prompts, and cognitive pattern insights
• Chat with an AI assistant about session content
• Track mood, set therapy goals, and maintain a personal journal
• Save quotes and prepare notes for upcoming sessions

3. Not Medical Advice

SeshReview does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The AI-generated content in the App — including summaries, reflection prompts, cognitive distortion analysis, and chat responses — is produced by artificial intelligence and is intended solely as a personal reflection aid.

You should:

• Not rely on SeshReview as a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or psychiatric care
• Always consult with a qualified mental health professional for clinical advice
• Contact emergency services (911 or your local equivalent) if you are experiencing a mental health crisis
• Discuss any insights or patterns identified by the App with your therapist

AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or misinterpretations. SeshReview and its creators are not responsible for any decisions or actions you take based on AI-generated content.

4. User Accounts

To use SeshReview, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• All activity that occurs under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use SeshReview. If you are between 13 and 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SeshReview only for its intended purpose as a personal therapy reflection tool. You may not:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Record any person without their knowledge and consent where required by law
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the App
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
• Share your account with others or create multiple accounts
• Upload content that is harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others

Recording Consent

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable laws regarding recording conversations. Many jurisdictions require the consent of all parties being recorded. Before recording a therapy session, you should:

• Inform your therapist that you intend to record the session
• Obtain their explicit consent
• Comply with your jurisdiction's recording consent laws

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of all content you create within SeshReview, including recordings, transcripts, journal entries, and notes. Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Key points:

• Your session data is stored locally on your device
• Audio is sent to our servers temporarily for transcription and is not retained
• We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising or AI training
• You can delete your data at any time from within the App

7. AI-Generated Content

SeshReview uses artificial intelligence (powered by OpenAI) to generate transcriptions, summaries, insights, and chat responses. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading
• AI outputs should not be treated as professional advice of any kind
• Cognitive distortion analysis is an educational reflection tool, not a clinical diagnosis
• The AI does not have the context, training, or qualification to provide therapy
• You should verify any important information with a qualified professional

8. Service Availability

We strive to keep SeshReview available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Server or infrastructure issues
• Third-party service disruptions (OpenAI, Supabase)
• Force majeure events

Core features that rely on local storage (viewing saved sessions, journal entries, mood history) will continue to function offline. Features requiring server access (transcription, AI insights, chat) require an internet connection.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• SeshReview is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory
• We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of harmful components
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App
• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SeshReview, its creators, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your recording of therapy sessions without proper consent
• Any actions you take based on AI-generated content

11. Termination

You may stop using SeshReview at any time by deleting your account and uninstalling the App. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we need to discontinue the service.

Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App ceases immediately
• Data stored locally on your device remains until you delete it
• Your account data will be deleted from our authentication systems

12. Intellectual Property

SeshReview, its design, code, branding, and documentation are the intellectual property of SeshReview and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the App without our written permission.

You retain ownership of all personal content you create within the App (recordings, journal entries, notes, etc.).

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which SeshReview operates, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, and if necessary, through binding arbitration.

14. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
